The newest member of the Los Angeles Lakers family Markieff Morris has had a good start to life as a Laker. Could the addition of Morris give the Lakers a chance to try out small ball line-ups with Morris at the 5?

This season for the Los Angeles Lakers has been different, in so many ways.
They no longer have the young core, they are no longer a lottery team and after times of turmoil and drama, this Lakers team truly seems to be a family.

Losing the late great Kobe Bryant has really brought the Lakers community as a whole a lot closer and it is a truly beautiful thing to see.

Having a group of teammates who like, respect, and want to be around each
other is rare. With so many personalities on a team, it is so easy for one bad
egg to ruin the bunch and this Lakers group genuinely seems to have a bond together.

A significant amount of props must be given to the likes of LeBron James,
Anthony Davis, Rob Pelinka, and Frank Vogel.

As some of the main leaders of the Lakers organization, they have truly set
the tone for the entire team and it speaks to all of their leadership qualities
that this team has remained so tight-knit.

With all that being said, for new signing Markieff Morris to join the
Lakers, they had to let go of DeMarcus Cousins. Boogie is
expected to stay around the practice facility, get his body right, and
potentially come back to the Lakers next season.

With Cousins no longer on the roster, Morris is now added to the forward
rotation.
