Is it time for the Los Angeles Lakers to call it a day with Kyle Kuzma and
try and get a valuable asset for him?
With Kuzma eligible for a contract extension at the end of next season and
with rumblings of him seeking a large contract, it might be in the best
interest of the purple and gold to see what they could get for him via trade.
The Lakers could potentially kick the can down the road regarding Kuzma til next season and see if his level of play goes up and even wait and see if
another team will match his qualifying offer in the 2021-22 NBA season but it might be time for the purple and gold to cut their losses and see if they can potentially package Kuzma and other pieces for the 3rd piece like Zach LaVine, Jrue Holiday or Victor Oladipo.
A potential interesting scenario for the Lakers is packaging Kuzma and
potentially Talen Horton-Tucker, along with their pick this summer to move up in the draft and potentially landing a lottery talent that they can have under contract at a low contract amount for 4 plus years.
In a draft class this weak, Kuzma and other pieces could potentially land
the Lakers a Top 10 pick which they could use to draft North Carolina point
guard Cole Anthony.
